Support Staff
Children need to be in a safe and healthy environment to flourish. A combination of great support staff and a great teacher will lead to students who excel. There are many types of support staff who help children learn and keep them safe: teaching and classroom assistants, learning support assistants, learning mentors, sports coaches, science technicians, ICT technicians, food technicians and design and technology technicians.
Specialist Staff
Special Education Needs (SEN) is not just an umbrella term that includes range of learning difficulties and developments or physical disabilities. It is much more than that, and it is crucial you have the right specialist staff supporting the children on a one-to-one basis and as a group. Specialist staffing can range from SEN teaching assistant, educational psychologist, speech and language therapists, mental health support worker, specialist nurses, sensory teaching assistants and occupational therapists.

Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
A great SLT is the key to the success of every school. No matter the size, no matter the make-up of the team; it is imperative that every team member buys into the school vision and actively works with each other to enable the vision to be fulfilled. The role with SLT includes Head teachers, deputy headteachers, assistant headteachers, special educational needs co-ordinators (SENCOs) and curriculum or pastoral leaders.
